3) Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting – A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held March 13,
2018, 1:00 PM Local Denver Time, at 1617 S. Acoma St. Denver, CO 80223 – Room 113, CMGCs may visit the site on their own to familiarize
themselves with the site and area.
4) Proposal due date- Proposals must be sent or delivered as directed within the proposal
instructions and received on or before, April 3, 2018,
2:00 PM, Local Denver Time to the District’s Construction Purchasing Office located at 1617 S.
Acoma St. Denver, CO 80223. Proposals received after this time will not be considered and
individual extensions to the due date will not be granted. The District will not accept an e-mail
or fax response to this Request for Proposal. You are responsible to address the envelope as
follows- Denver Public Schools, Construction Purchasing Department, 1617 S. Acoma St. Denver, CO
80223, Attn: 18-KN-6314.
NOTE: THERE WILL NOT BE A BID OPENING ON THE PROJECT.
SCOPE OF WORK –
o Univent system needs complete replacement. Replace supply and return feeds back to main. Include casework modifications as required to accommodate new univents. Currently Centennial Controls.
Must be bundled with H ENS C temp controls/environment scope.
o New HVAC controls to allow precise, remote scheduling for daily, weekly, holiday and temperature set points ensuring comfort and energy savings.
o Replace existing chiller with air cooled unit and remove existing unit. May require modifications to chain link fence enclosure.
o Replace exhaust fans 5, 6, 7, 8, 11 and untagged unit over admin. There is a PV array on part of building. Existing controls are Long.
o Replace exhaust fans 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 13. There is a PV array on part of building. Existing controls are Long.
o Replace kitchen makeup air unit. Existing unit unable to maintain adequate cooling in kitchen.
o Provide large ceiling vent fans in the hallways in four different spots of the school. Provide large ceiling vent fans in the hallways in four different spots of the school. This is a principal request.
o Upgrade faculty Lounge, RM 002, to include code required HVAC and any other code deficiencies.
o AHUs 1 and 2 to be replaced. Units will need to be site built.
o Partial DDC controls. Existing controls are Long.
o Replace exhaust fans 1 and 2. Units will need to be access from the exterior of the building. Long controls.
o Replace complete Univent system including steam and condensate feeds back to main, all steam traps including drip and end of main, etc.
